Application guide
TW Sequence
Build, reorder, review and print temporary works outline sequences with drawing references.
What this tool does
TW Sequence helps prepare and review temporary-works outlines with drawing references. It supports planning and reporting; project teams remain responsible for checking the sequence against the approved design and site conditions.
Application version: v1.0.
Build a sequence
- Enter the project number, page number, element, designer and date on Info.
- In Sequence Editor, add a step before or after the selected row and write one clear operation per step.
- Use child steps for supporting activities beneath a main step. Reorder rows to match the intended sequence; child steps stay with their parent group.
- Add drawing references and paste a site snip or detail image into a step. Click a thumbnail to review it at full size.
- Use Review & Print to check completeness, then export CSV, copy a text outline or print/save the document as PDF.
Editing and output features
- Step numbering updates as the outline is edited; child steps use lettered suffixes and can be grouped under a head step.
- Clipboard images are embedded with the step, scaled for practical document size and included in saved project files.
- Completeness review flags missing step descriptions and highlights missing document metadata without blocking ordinary drafting.
- CSV and plain-text outputs carry the ordered sequence and metadata; images remain in the saved document rather than being embedded into those text exports.
What a sequence is
TW Sequence creates a narrative outline. It is not a programme or Gantt chart: it does not hold dates per step, durations, dependencies, progress status or critical-path calculations. Use the project’s approved planning and temporary-works controls for those functions.
Tips and field guidance
Use the row actions to add a step before or next. Use + Child on a head step for 1A, 1B… Paste Snip imports the latest Windows clipboard image; click its thumbnail to expand it in the step. Children move only among siblings under their head.
