About the practice
GvB Engineering is a small-scale engineering consultancy working in specialist niche fields, including temporary works design management and consultancy.
GvB Engineering is a small-scale engineering consultancy led by Gerry Corrigan. Its work focuses on specialist engineering needs, including temporary works design management and consultancy.
StructCalc.Online is an extension of that practical work. The apps grew from real calculation tasks and workflows: tools that are useful in day-to-day engineering work, available in a browser, and shaped by the problems engineers need to solve.
The core structural analysis apps are developed around the needs of the practice and are close to complete for that work. More advanced tools continue to evolve. Sharing them makes it possible for other engineers to use the tools, report what works well, and request features that would make them more useful.

The apps are made available to fellow engineers, with free tools open to everyone and approved accounts providing access to the wider catalogue.
Specific feature requests and voluntary financial support help guide and fund continued development.
StructCalc tools support engineering work; they do not replace competent engineering judgement, independent checking or project-specific verification. Users remain responsible for confirming inputs, assumptions, applicable standards and results.
