GvB Engineering is a small-scale engineering consultancy working in specialist niche fields, including temporary works design management and consultancy.
GvB Engineering is a small-scale engineering consultancy led by Gerry Corrigan. Its work focuses on specialist engineering needs, including general advice on small residential and commercial projects and temporary works design management and consultancy.
StructCalc.Online is an extension of that practical work. The apps grew from real calculation tasks and workflows: tools that are useful in day-to-day engineering work, available in a browser, and shaped by the problems engineers need to solve.
StructCalc.Online and all its applications are in constant development. Sharing the tools with other engineers helps identify what works well and which features would make them more useful.

StructCalc tools are intended for qualified engineers. They are an aid for analysis and checking, not a primary design service, and do not replace competent engineering judgement, independent checking or project-specific verification. Users remain responsible for confirming inputs, assumptions, applicable standards and results.
Each application guide describes the model scope, inputs, outputs and checks that apply to that tool. Verification coverage varies by application. For 2DFrameCalc, the documented baseline uses automated regression tests, closed-form benchmark cases and force-and-moment equilibrium checks across representative frame models.
These software checks do not amount to independent certification. StructCalc.Online does not certify compliance with BS, BS EN, Eurocodes or another design standard. Engineers must select the standards and National Annexes that apply to each project, check the required factors and design criteria, and independently review the model and results.
Application-specific scope, inputs, outputs and checks are described in the guides within the Help & Support menu.
